Voix de Buddy Ebsen
Si vous écoutez attentivement les deux fois où le bucheron en fer-blanc chante "We're off to see the Wizard" vous vous apercevrez que ce n'est pas Jack Haley qui chante mais bien Buddy Ebsen, le premier bucheron en fer-blanc, hospitalisé à cause d'une réaction allergique au maquillage. Alors qu'il entamait sa convalescence après avoir failli mourir, il fut remplacé par Jack Haley.
L'quipe du film avaient cependant déjà enregistré les chansons en studio, avant le début du tournage, et il était trop cher de le refaire.
